August 9-15, 2009
We spent all of last week in the Outer Banks. Many of my photos look a lot like last week’s post, since we arrived on Saturday. The sunsets were so beautiful, and different every day. I couldn’t help myself!
We had a great week at the beach. Reading, relaxing and dining on great food. The house was perfect; gotta love the location!
It’s always sad when our week comes to an end … back to work tomorrow!

Last week, I had tons of photos. This week? Not so much.

That was Jeter again in the cup series. Oddly enough, I just posted this movie of Joey a couple days ago. It was recorded a few months ago, but I forgot about it.

We kicked off the week with another concert! Stone Temple Pilots at Merriweather Post. Another amazing show!

Back at home, we had some visitors to the house …
On Tuesday, I brought my camera along on our run through Greenbury Point.
I brought it for the beautiful water views …
But also enjoyed the flora and fauna.
To end the week, we found ourselves at another show, this one in town at the Rams Head. Nicole Atkins opened up the show …

Last week felt like the longest week. I’ve been busy every night with training, singing and concerts (both as a performer and in the audience). Plus we’ve had a college friend visiting over the weekend. Fortunately he was mostly here to do guy things with my husband — I haven’t seen too much of him!
But I was around yesterday to join them for half-price crab legs.
My week started out with a BBQ at a friend’s house. As the sun was setting, a bat was flying around quite close to us. He was too quick to photograph (see black smudge in the first photo), but the sky was pretty!
This photo doesn’t need an intro, but it feels like I should add one since the other two pairs of photos had one. Ooh Look! A pinecone!
