Joey can be difficult to photograph. He usually runs to me as soon as he sees me. So I approached with caution when I saw him lounging in the kitchen:

He turned his head, and I managed to snap a shot before he got up.

I should probably clean that window one of these days. Kitty nose prints!

Posey is usually a well-behaved model for me.

Jeter was not cooperating this week, so no new photos of him. But I’m sure he’ll be back soon!

The next shot is from the Vienna Teng show Thursday night. Our table was right next to the sound booth. and I liked the way it was lit. I can’t believe anybody can learn what all those knobs do!

Jeter has it rough this time of the year.

Cat owners probably know the quivering chirp that kitties are known to do when something is disturbing them, like a bug on the ceiling.

We have lots of windows, and Jeter gets agitated when the leaves start blowing around. He gets twitchy and chirpy on those blustery fall days. He will sit by the window and follow the movement outside.

(This one’s not technically a “winner,” but I think it’s funny how his rapidly-swinging tail is just a blur!)

By night, those leaves don’t bother him anymore. He and Joey were both giving me weird looks when I disturbed their nap for a photo shoot!

I think this is the only shot where Jeter wasn’t either yawning or licking his paws.

We suspect the guy featured in the May 30th photo is responsible for this redecorating, though we’ve never caught him in the act.

Well, not since Jeter was just a little one.

He’s been discreet since we moved into our house in 2001, doing his “designing” while we’re sleeping or at work. But he’s certainly willing to pose with the evidence!

Sept 2004 — shortly after my Mom cleaned out their attic and brought me my old Girl Scout stuff. Yes, he’s got both the Girl Scout beret and the Brownie beanie. A few days later, we found the sash halfway down the stairs.

Sept 8, 2008. The start of a two-week redecorating frenzy. Something new was in the living room nearly every day!

I finally got tired of him dragging my clean clothes off the drying rack in the guest room, down the (carpeted and rarely vacuumed) stairs and into the living room.

I’ve learned to shut the door when I’ve got laundry drying!

But I figured I’d share a video I took tonight of Jeter being a spaz. It features two very special cameo appearances by his sister, Posey.

This type of behavior is usually seen while I’m trying to change the sheets (which is why all our sheets have holes). I’ve thrown them for a loop by actually making the bed the past two days.

Crazy, I know. I don’t know what’s come over me. Of course in the following scene, it’s become a bit rumpled!
