Last Sunday, my friend/training partner and I went into DC for our long 19-mile run. It was a gorgeous day, and I brought my camera along. I probably would have taken more photos, except it was kind of annoying to keep taking it out / repacking it into my waist pack!

Last year, I shot some of my favorite photos at Downs Park when I was there for a five-mile race.

I was back again yesterday for this year’s race. Well, it seems last year it took place before the time change. I’m sure I wasn’t there two hours early! I only brought my point-and-shoot this year, anyway.

I didn’t have too many photos that I loved this time around, but it still always nice to run through this park.

My running schedule had us doing nine miles yesterday, so we did a two-mile warm up, ran the race, and did a two-mile cool down. It worked out well!

When I got home I found Jeter sunning himself in an unusual position.
