The performance went well, and it was fun. I didn’t even feel all that ridiculous pretending to be a party-goer with my empty plastic champagne flute.
And, there was a perk with the “job” … after Act I, there was a blackout and Act II began. The chorus didn’t sing again until the Act II Finale. I guess for timing reasons, though, intermission was right *before* the Act II Finale.
Wish we knew this Friday (when we rejoined the choir to sit uncomfortably on benches, doing nothing until the break). Last night, we were able to leave the stage and go down to the dressing room, hang out for a while, and use the restroom before intermission crowds. It was very relaxing!
Now that that’s over, tomorrow we begin rehearsing Christmas music …
