beer for dogs

I saw a clip on the news last night referring to “Kwispelbier” — a new creation in the Netherlands that is a non-alcoholic beer for dogs.

“Kwispel” = wagging a tail in Dutch. I suppose a brew of malt and beef would make a dog’s tail wag!

I found another article on the subject here that mentions a U.S version of doggie beer, Happy Tail Ale from Dog Star Brewing.

Both varieties of this beef-flavored beverage cost more than most real beer!

This seems pretty ridiculous to me. What’s next?

I think my cats might like some tuna-flavored champagne …
