I’m admitting to the world that I am a slob.
I recently stumbled upon this post over at Ninja Poodles, challenging people to post photos of their messes. Then, hopefully, also post “after” photos!
I have several of these messes, all over my house. I have chosen two to make public, both in my bedroom.

I’m hoping to tackle these disasters by the end of the month. That might not be possible, since I’ve got two weekend trips coming up! So, maybe early November is a better goal.
But it has to happen soon!
I’ve been feeling like such a slob lately – all this running leaves very little time for cleaning! My parents arrive today though, so at 5 am (my usual up time) I was struck with this insane urge to tidy and put stuff away, so now I have no mess to post! Oh well, next time.
I wish my messes could be cleaned up in a day!
Maybe you could post regular progress updates for NaBloPoMo… just deal with a small amount each day and by the end of the month it will all be gone!
My mess is in a spare bedroom, and it’s always the desk that builds up. We all have to have a space (or two) to just let it all hang out don’t we?!

It will be much more challenging to clean everyday than just simply blog everyday, but that’s a good idea. I’ll call it NaBloCleanMo!

You are right. We do have that exact same weird green carpeting!
My weird green carpeting is now in the dumpster sitting outside in my driveway. :-]
Ours will likely stay for a while. It was brand new when we bought the house in 2001, and it’s holding up fairly well to the cats’ abuse.
There must have been a sale — the 1st floor master, the stairs, and hallway and two bedrooms upstairs all match!
Due to my mother’s pack-ratty tendencies, this photos make me crige. Just mildly, but still cringing.
So sorry to say that, babes. 😉
