This showed up on my desk the other day.
My boss had a meeting with another department, and that department manager had brought them in. My boss thoughtfully shared with the rest of our team.
It is highly likely that this cupcake was made from scratch. They were made by that manager’s wife, and she used to have a baking business!
When it first arrived, it was easy to ignore it. I was on my way to yoga. (My office has been offering free lunchtime yoga twice a week since the summer!)
When I got back, I changed, ate lunch, and returned to my desk.
As I worked, I could smell its chocolaty goodness, but I didn’t eat it.
While I have been trying to eat healthier, I wasn’t abstaining for that reason. I’m still letting myself have treats. Besides, I was running that night. Running and yoga in one day, that’s super healthy!
I was waiting for my officemate to leave.
I had a compelling urge to photograph the cupcake. I didn’t know what I was going to blog about to accompany the cupcake. I just had to do it!
Finally, around 3 p.m., he got up. I didn’t know how much time I had so I moved quickly. I only took one picture, sans flash.
It seemed like it came out clear enough. (Warning: if you click the cupcake above, you can view a very large cupcake. DO NOT lick the screen!)
That cupcake was history.
Delicious!

Hey, as long as it was worth it.
There’s nothing worse than sabotaging hours of downward dog with a less than worthy cupcake.
A similar thing happened to me last night… only I ended up eating 4 zuchinni muffins and I think my puppy ate the tops of two other muffins that were cooling on the counter. yummmm. muffins.
Ha, I am diabetic and I *still* would have eaten it too!
yummy. that would have never lasted more than a minute in my sight. I feel like such a bum having finished off at least 4 mini-cannolis today that were left over from a party. Tomorrow…running 2 extra miles to kill the guilt.
Ohhhh, I want one. Badly.
