At least not yet.
I purchased a “junk drawer organizer” to attempt to straighten up the mess. This is how it started:
I was able to get it this far:
The smaller tray on the right is supposed to sit on top of the one on the left, but that assumes all of your junk is small enough to allow it to fit. There weren’t a lot of large slots, so I’m going to have to pick up some additional bins. But it’s a lot better!
And for extra credit, I cleaned my kitchen last night after I posted my clothing clean-up. That wasn’t so bad, we just let the dishes pile up!

Yes, the cabinets are two different colors. I’m working on it!
Today’s declaration of thanks goes to the Target so convenient to my office. I’ve been a frequent shopper lately, trying to contain all of my messes!

I am so impressed with you! Your house is looking FANTASTIC.
I love it. I am in love with NaBloCleanMo, and I salute you.
Oooh, I have a red and green kitchen too!
Thanks!
My house looks good only if you focus on the areas I’ve fixed. Oh, the problems. I probably have more than 30!
And maybe someday my kitchen will be all red (no more blue), with new floors and countertops too …
NaBloPaintMo next year perhaps? I’m not a tidy freak, but how do you function with the disarray? You are being very patent and honest and open here… I’m not sure how I’d go letting people into all my home secrets!
I really would like to finish the cabinets next month, they were sort of a new year’s resolution … as was getting organized. Ha!
I really don’t know how I function. It really annoys me when I lose things!
It is funny; I am rather embarrased if company comes over unannounced and my house is a mess … yet I’ll share it with the internet!
I found your blog through Whoopee today, and am in awe of how much you’ve accomplished in organizing your house. My house isn’t messy, but there are parts that completely overwhelm me still. You’ve inspired me to go to the Container Store and organize to my heart’s content. Bravo!
Wow. My main cleaning trick is to shut the door. oops.
Vacuuming is bad for your soul you know…:)
I am in Awe.. totally. and I am so organised that I don’t actually have a clue how I found your blog.. hehehe
cheers kim
See, my main cleaning trick had been to hide my messes where company doesn’t go, thus leading to the large pile of crap in my bedroom and other disasters.
Ultimately, that takes longer to clean up than if I had actually cleaned rather than piled in the first place!
