I spoke too soon the other day.

My grandfather passed away yesterday in his sleep. He was 95.

I almost put a disclaimer on that other post, that there are some family members we know had limited time left. He would have been one of them.

He’d been fading over the past five or so years. My grandmother, who is ten years younger but not without her share of health problems, had been worrying about him. He didn’t listen to her anymore, and she’d worry that he’d wander off.

I won’t see her until Saturday, but my Mom thinks she’s doing OK. It’s been hard, and now he’s at peace.
