i was left unattended in the exam room

So I had to take a photo of the photo of my eye that the tech loaded on the screen for my eye doctor to review.

my eye

After all, it was a lot of work taking those eye photos. I’m a blinker. It took about four tries on each eye, staring at the light with my eyes wide open, waiting for the flash.

Same thing for the “puff of air” test. Though I think it took five tries on each eye.

I’m still blind as ever — without my contacts or glasses, I have to squint to make out the “E.” And now, bonus! There appears to be some swelling in my cornea so I have to buy a special ointment to use at night.

After I got home we sat around watching TV and waiting for the furniture delivery guys. We had a delivery scheduled for 1 p.m. Of course, they arrived at 2:55 p.m., two minutes after I called the store to see if they could track them down.

It wasn’t until after five when everything was assembled and arranged in my kitchen. But now I feel kind of like a grown-up. There is furniture in my kitchen that I didn’t have to put together!

Posey approves.

It’s nice that I don’t have to store my wine in boxes on the floor anymore. But there are some empty spots.

I need more wine!

(I also need a new kitchen floor. Someday …)

  1. I love that you had to take a photo of your eye. That’s sooo something I would do. In fact, I had a colonoscopy in 2003 and when they showed me the photos to explain what was wrong with me, I asked if I could keep the photos and he said I could. So, I literally have photos of my colon in one of my photo albums!

  2. Hmm. Sounds like we need to go to a few tastings and buy some wine soon. In our spare time…riiiiight. 🙂

  3. The friend who accompanied me to my laser eye surgery last year got to watch the actual surgery being televised on a TV screen (displayed for everyone in the waiting room to see).

    Yay for nice furniture!
