My parents were visiting last weekend, and on Sunday afternoon we went into DC to try to see the cherry blossoms.

We knew it was early — peak blooms were predicted for March 27, but we figured they must be starting by March 23. Right?

Not really.

Most of the trees weren’t ready yet. Though, some were further along.

I didn’t mind. It was a little chilly, but sunny. And we found a garden that was a little more interesting.

And, while my cats were pretty much left alone this week, I did subject outdoor kitty Meadow to a photo shoot. I couldn’t have a week without any kitties!

  4. You make amazing pictures! I love all of them, but your cat pictures steal my heart! By the way, I have a puking cat at home as well, but she’s not allowed to sleep on our bed! I’ve been reading a few blogposts here, and that convinced me that I’m doing the right thing! hehehehe!
