Especially my clean clothes.
Our washer and dryer are on the second floor, while our master bedroom is on the first. I suppose that might have been helpful if we had kids, but then wouldn’t we want our bedrooms closer?
This house doesn’t really make sense.
(Sorry, house. I still love you!)
Anyway, some mornings I come upstairs in my bathrobe looking for something to wear on top of the dryer. I don’t know why I let it pile up; I like being able to find my clothes!
I’ve gotten to the bottom of the pile today.
All that’s left is the to-be ironed pile.
Of course, there’s a load drying right now … but I’ll be good and put my stuff away!
Today, after sleeping in a bit, I spent the afternoon by myself shopping. Our mall just opened a new section with H&M; and Sephora among others … Weeee!
I am thankful for days like today, where I am free to wander at my own pace, without anything planned to rush back for!

H&M; AND SEPHORA? Geez, add a Super Target and I know where I want to go on my next vacation 😉
We actually don’t have a Target in town … fortunately, they built one around the corner from my office a year and a half ago. The novelty has not worn off, and I’m there at least once a week!
They are building a Target in a new Towne Center that is under construction … not at the same location as the mall, but close. Not sure if it will be a Super Target, we’ll keep our fingers crossed …
We don’t have a laundry room, we end up taking all our laundry to a laundromat. The place is like a mile wide, and after the countless trips from washers to dryers, we are exhausted. We end up coming home with five or six baskets and never making it up stairs to our bedroom. I find myself dressing in the living room. Now that’s bad!
I have been lucky that both apartments I’ve lived in post college had laundry onsite.
Not as good as in my own house, though!
I assume a laundry room is on your very large list of work to do on the house?
