enablers

On the drive home from work last night …

Me: Oh, I picked up cat litter in Target. And, um, I bought shoes …

Hubby: (laughs)

Me: … well, I went in before work to drop off a prescription, but didn’t realize the pharmacy didn’t open until 9. It was 8:45 and I didn’t want to go back later. And you know I was just saying I needed some patent heels …

Hubby: (Laughing) Yeah, that’s OK. I ordered another 25 CDs for $25 today …*
[continues to explain today’s deal]

  2. How funny. Shane adores XBOX games (no worries, he isn’t always immature), so we use eBay a lot to feed his vice.

My vices are constantly changing, but I’m with you on the shoes. I have never paid more than $50 for a pair of shoes to date. Even if those brown suede Kate Spade kitten heels taunt me, I’ll resist.

  3. I totally resisted a pair of shoes today on the sale rack at Macy’s. $48 on sale is still high for my liking. (I had to raise the limit for boots, because I wanted quality for cheap, and that wasn’t happening!)

But I’m still thinking about them. I might have to go back. If they’re still there, it’s meant to be …
