This evening, I was looking for a box that I could fit into.
No, not completely inside. Just partially.
We’ve got plenty of boxes in the garage lined up for recycling, but nothing big. Then I thought to check the attic. Sometimes I keep boxes for big purchases, like computer equipment.
I was surprised to see I had actually thrown out most of the Dell boxes, but I did find a box that would work perfectly from the printer.
After making some strategic cuts, I brought my box into the garage and began painting it.
Why am I painting a box? Well, for my Halloween costume, of course.
Yes, I should have thought about this sooner. I’m running a Halloween 5K on Sunday.
Costumes are optional, but runners from my group likes to participate. In years past, I have run this race as Supergirl and Space Ghost.
Not sure why I have a thing for superheros.
I have actually worn a box before. As an adult. One year, I went to a party as a gypsy fortune teller … in a booth! I had a “crystal” ball and battery-operated white lights (hey, it was dark in there!).
This year’s costume is a secret, for now. Sorry, I never reveal my costumes until they are complete. It has more impact this way.
My husband thinks I’m a freak.
I think it’s going to be hilarious.
Sounds very, very interesting! Looking forward to the photo of that one! Freak? nah… full of life? yeah!
Oooh exciting! I’m sure it will be more thrilling than my “mandatory” halloween costume.
I’m wearing a dirndl and Princess Leia-esque buns. Gah.
